Richard Dawkins Rap - Beware The Believers
Yeah he's the Dick to the Dawk to the PhD,
he's smarter than you he's got a science degree!
Atheists all over the world have embraced this infectious little song as it has been passed on and replicated all over the internet. This addictive music video has become a cultural meme that even Dawkins himself would be proud of. Beneath the catchy tune is the important message to think for yourself and consider all the evidence.
The Dick to the Dawk to the PhD,
he's still smarter than you he studied biology!
Cos I'm the rappinest, rabidest atheist who unlike the Catholic, Muslim or even the Jew, believes that no God but science could ever be true, hell if I was dyslexic I'd even hate "dog" too.
Cast: Richard Dawkins, Charles Darwin, PZ Myers, Eugenie Scott, Daniel Dennett, Sam Harris, Christopher Hitchins
This YouTube viral sensation was created by Michael Edmondson, a 27 year old film school graduate living in Vancouver.
Ironically this video was commissioned by Creationists. Michael was contracted by Premise Media, the producers of Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (a Ben Stein project), to come up with a piece of animation.
Originally Michael's animation was a six minute piece to be used within Expelled. Michael's animated segment was designed to tell the section of the story concerning the rise of "Darwinism" within the Creationist film.
However, in the editing room for Expelled, the production team decided the film had taken a different direction in tone than expected and that the unfinished animation no longer fit the film . . . so Michael put the animation online.
At first the video was anonymous but eventually Michael sent an email to PZ Myers taking responsibility and stating "I tried to make something that was funny to me and It’s not really meant to convince anyone of anything". Michael apparently designed the animation to mock both sides of the argument and spark debate. When asked which side of the debate he thinks is right he replied: "The truth is in the test tube."
Many Atheists find Michael's south-park-esque animation hilarious as it is a play on the bizarre paranoia of Creationists who think the science community is actively trying to suppress the work of those who don’t subscribe to the mainstream scientific doctrine of evolutionary theory.
