Deep Pencil - the musings of Morgan Bell

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it did it really make a sound? If i post a blog and nobody reads it was there really any point? You have entered the random thinking space of Morgan Bell . . . These are my musings . . . things about my life written off the top of my head . . . written in an informal disjointed style almost completely devoid of punctuation, this is where i flesh out writing ideas, discuss my life, and generally be self indulgent . . . it is also the bargain bin for articles which do not fit in with the film or arts themes of my other blogs . . . so have a wander around my mind, have a laugh, have a think, be nice, and humour me!

Good mornin', good mornin'

This is a great thing that you do. I'm sure your friend appreciates the enormity of your gesture.

Hi ed!

Do you mean the blind furrowing creature with the huge paws and long snout?

Or are you referring to the term of endearment reserved for Aussie females with questionable morals and bad attitude?

hi Ruby,
well that was certainly a snazzy rendition!
the dancing was very cool - where do people get that much energy from?

I just think it's funny that these crazy oldenday's people used to stay up all night... without drugs! WTF???

Tap dancing?? PFFFFFTTTT!

The only thing that keeps me sprightly when I've pulled an all nighter is the friendly staff at my local NAB!

My regular hours used to be 3pm - 3am... now I'm actually waking up before 10pm every day and going to bed before 1... it's very weird.

alt_ed who said they didn't have any drugs? I'd bet my left ovary it was lines, lines for everyone on a Gene Kelly movie set.

I'm a bit confused Morgan. Are you turning into a nine to fiver or are you now a 24 hr (round the clock) gal?

hi epiphanie,
yeah shift-work can certainly get you out of whack!

hi Janet,
i think the days are too short for me on this planet . . . maybe im destined for another world?

Hiya again M,

I haven't done any job that required long hours (I have barely done any job at all, lol), I just liked late night culture. And once you're in the cycle of 3-3, it's hard to get out!

Btw, thank you for your lovely compliment about my wit and 'way of speaking' - I posted up a vocal sample of myself on Facebook recently, singing Robyn's Show Me Love - you might like to have a listen.

maybe im destined for another world?

What kind of world would you like?
