Deep Pencil - the musings of Morgan Bell

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it did it really make a sound? If i post a blog and nobody reads it was there really any point? You have entered the random thinking space of Morgan Bell . . . These are my musings . . . things about my life written off the top of my head . . . written in an informal disjointed style almost completely devoid of punctuation, this is where i flesh out writing ideas, discuss my life, and generally be self indulgent . . . it is also the bargain bin for articles which do not fit in with the film or arts themes of my other blogs . . . so have a wander around my mind, have a laugh, have a think, be nice, and humour me!

J.Lo dazzles at the 2009 Golden Globes

January 13th 2009 05:02
My favourite starlet Jennifer Lopez was in fine form at this years Golden Globe awards, looking molten hot in slinky liquid metallics.

The plunging golden dress is from Marchesa and transformed J.Lo into the embodiment of a Golden Globe.

Jennifer set a glowing tone as the first presenter of the evening.

She looks an absolute knock-out in this dazzling frock - hands-down BEST DRESSED!

That fabric is amazing . . .

You are SO going to hate me for this. I think she looks skanky, there is just way too much skin. The fabric is beautiful, she is drop dead gorgeous but the dress is just too revealing. I must be getting prudish in my old age but I hate things that plunge at the front to the waist. I just think leaving a little more to the imagination is far sexier and more glamorous.

I agree though, if the neckline was a little less 'out there' the frock would have won me over.

oh Cheryl get out of here! haha

Maybe skanky was a bit harsh but she is so gorgeous she doesn't need to reveal so much to look hot. I just think the dress would have been a total knockout if the neckline plunge to just below her boobs.

Mind you I'd probably walk around naked all day if I had that body too hahahaha

Awwww...poor David trying so hard not to look at her boobs. Was that really nine years ago? Jeepers.

But about the gold dress...sorry tack-a-rama.

J.Lo is all class!

Only J.Lo could get away with a dress like that but she wouldn't want to move too quickly!

That green dress must have been taped and ... great body or not ... it's amazing that she didn't feel really uncomfortable. But it is nice to see that she is confident in herself and feels attractive, in spite of not having large breasts and boyish hips - the opposite in fact.
As for the gold dress - it is beautiful material (for such an event, anyway) but I agree with Cheryl. The plunging front is too much and I think it actually detracts from the sexiness of the very low-cut back.

hi Janet,
the marvels of double-sided sticky tape!

hi Teresa,
shes pretty sassy for a pear-shape!
sensuous, stunning, statuesque . . . i just cant say enough flattering things about J.Lo!

OK- I think it's time for all the 'Nannas' to go to bed! Jennifer looks stunning here Morgan. In fact, I'd go as far to say she is a positive role model for women... No one can accuse her of being underweight, she's a fit, healthy, curvaceous female. If only more women took a leaf out of her book (and even men!) I'm sure we wouldn't be faced with this fucking obesity epidemic!!!

Oh no, Morgan! Add me to the list of those who did NOT like this gold dress! Sorry!

One of my favorite interviewers was trying to get her attention on the red carpet that night, and she totally snubbed him. He turned around and said to the camera, "I guess she couldn't hear me cause her dress was so loud."

That floored me! It is just a bit much. And actually, I thought it was sort of dated in a way.

That's my opinion, and I'm not even a "nanna", believe it or not!!

I will say that I love her body, and her curves. They could have been displayed in a dress that was a little less hideous. My issue isn't with her flesh...it's with the dress!

hi Natalie,
thats a funny quip - who was the interviewer?
i have learnt on Orble that im pretty much the only J.Lo fan so when i post on her i know im not going to get a kind reaction!
but shes my little pet project, i like to keep tabs on her, and she never fails to impress me!
i think the dress is supposed to look vintage, or contain vintage elements - the designer Marchesa is know for their "romantic" styles
