Number 20
November 9th 2008 13:28
My good friend CherylJ today alerted me to the fact that i broke the TOP 20 writers!
Thanks to all my readers from MySpace, Facebook, the Orble community, and the random Googlers!

18) 1073 Evenard M. Panes
19) 1035 Bryn
20) 1029 Morgan Bell
I joined on March 4, 2008 and i did THIS progress report a month later when I moved Deep Pencil to its own domain
I did THIS post on May 13 after CherylJ made the banner for Deep Pencil, and i finally bit the bullet and braved the formatting and banner uploading on my other blogs
I did THIS post on May 26 when i was very excited to have nearly made ten whole dollars from adsense!
I just did a check and its on $82.18 today . . . about 8 months later . . . not too shabby, but not exactly rolling in riches! haha
average earnings per day during the month of October = $0.52
I just thought i would do a bit of an update for any new users who are wondering how long it takes to get established as a writer on Orble, and a realistic example of how adsense builds up over time.
Im working on a post with some Orble tips, but until then if you are new and have any questions please stop by the Writers Forum and ask away - i regularly check to see if i can help anyone out with operational queries or advice.
Thanks again to CherylJ for reminding me of my progress and her continued help and support!

Hip hoorah to you! I still can't believe I had to point it out to you. And now you are almost wealthy with your Adsense earnings. Popular and rich - what a catch ladies and gentlemen.
Congrats dearest, I couldn't think of a nicer person to crack the big 20. I covet it that one day I shall crawl my way over the bodies of others to get there. I don't want to have to work for it like you guys did I'll just stab some backs and use their corpses as my ladder.
One day I'll have more than just mum and a few well paid friends reading my blogs and I might crack it big time. But I did just go back and reread my stats and for Sunday at least Budget Centsability was the number One business blog today. I am now doing the Spiderman Happy dance

hey your Thoughtzone is a fantastic blog!
it seems to almost always be listed in the top 5 or 6 on the homepage, and i think you do the kind of well-researched articles that would attract long-term Google traffic
dont write yourself off as a Palin just yet, i think youre still gathering steam . . . and after all you are relatively new like me!
keep up the good work!
hi Cheryl,
oh i LOVE the dancing Spiderman graphic!
i keep my stats in a separate folder in my inbox to keep everything tidy and i dont look over them that often unless im searching for traffic info on a particular post!
i notice the movie lists seem to get a fair bit of regular traffic, and some of the queer articles are quite popular!
i like your modesty but i can see all the hard work you put into the majority of your posts!
you are an inspiration my dear!
thanks for keeping me sane!

What on earth could I have had up that was worth clicking on? Whenever I see my ads they for things like 'How high is your IQ?' and 'Do you like Rihanna?'. I don't understand but I'm a bit chuffed. Maybe I can replace my dead microwave after all

But, you are still ONLY an Honorary Bogan Meister, second class.
Sorry...but you need to guzzle at least three flagons of Invalid Port a day, (stolen, or bludged, of course) in order to be considered for First Class Honours; (or equivalent; smoking 'bumpers' from the footpath, pill swallowing without knowing what they are, or gross public behaviour, such as projectile vomiting in a crowded train, or from a moving Cha Cha in a fair ground spraying the line of waiting customers as you whizz by)..
then there is the Oak Leaf Clustered Flea Coronet... more about that august award another time...
You have inspired me to trumpet my own achievements... paltry and petty as they are, they are all mine... and for one day I beat you to it...well, number 22 at least)

Those were some unique additions, Foggerama. How do you do it!! I've been in England and Ireland for the last month. It's amazing how after a while, 9 degrees becomes a good temp for a day out.
I think 'morgasbord' is my fave too, Janet.
Byee all.

i have put a post on the Writers Forum seeking opinions from Orble writers about what constitutes acceptable conduct and consequences for bad behaviour on the network
i would like to get suggestions from across the board and involve users from all walks of life
everyone has a different definition of what contitutes "offensive materials" and i would like you all to outline what you think the limits should be when it comes to images, content, and post titles
i think it would be useful to take a constructive approach to formulating a Code Of Conduct or revising the existing Terms & Conditions
i also think the grievance procedure needs to be streamlined and made more consistant and efficient
feel free to agree or disagree in comments
CLICKHERE to go to the post on the Writers Forum
perhaps if the guidelines were more specific we would all have a more enjoyable blogging experience and be able to foster a friendly environment to attract new writers

a dog with a bone, if it was not for strangers passing his front fence a dog would have very little to bark about!
ummm no it was just me, little old me on my lonesome
i find the need to slot people into groups rather than recognising that they act as individuals to be rather insame
hi Wilson,
