putting my cat in a sleeper cell . . .
April 18th 2008 05:25
im watching miss iota deville, the quiet curled-up ball of slumber, and amazed at how much time she (and all cats) spend sleeping . . . i think its like 18 hours a day . . . but as i watch her restful dozing and marvel at the amount of heat and energy expended on an unconscious creature, i find the typical "human being" in me comes out and i wonder if i can take something beautiful from nature and exploit it for my own personal use . . .
i wonder if we had enough sleeping cats if we could plug them into a centralised system and use them as energy cells for power generation . . . much like the fate of humans in the film The Matrix . . .
cats are the perfect self-heating unit . . . iota deville is so compact, tucking her legs in and covering her face with her paws . . . minimum space occupied, maximum heat produced . . . just feed her a handful of of niblets and she goes all day, she could power the whole house!
i have similar ideas when i see her running around like an antelope outside . . . if i could just harness that speed, put her on a treadmill which powers a wind turbine maybe?
like those human slaves in the film Conan The Barbarian where Arnie and others are forced to push a human-powered mill, The Wheel of Pain . . . oh and dont they do something similar in the 60s steve reeves movie The Thief Of Bagdad (i had to mention an old movie incase JohnDoe is reading, im losing my film credibility lol) . . . anyway the human-powered mill was all the rage back in the sword and sandal days
well i want a cat-powered mill when shes awake and a matrix style energy cell when shes asleep . . . none of these peaceful naps and happy-go-lucky prancing around without purpose . . . poor little iota deville

I can just imagine your cat running like an antelope... I really wish I had a cat of my own... I love those mysterious felines!

they are so entertaining . . . sometimes i would rather watch iota than the tv!
that pic is great hey, it always does the rounds on forwarded joke emails . . . im sure all cat owners secretly wonder if their cats are terrorists, like really WHAT do they do all day? lol
