Deep Pencil - the musings of Morgan Bell

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it did it really make a sound? If i post a blog and nobody reads it was there really any point? You have entered the random thinking space of Morgan Bell . . . These are my musings . . . things about my life written off the top of my head . . . written in an informal disjointed style almost completely devoid of punctuation, this is where i flesh out writing ideas, discuss my life, and generally be self indulgent . . . it is also the bargain bin for articles which do not fit in with the film or arts themes of my other blogs . . . so have a wander around my mind, have a laugh, have a think, be nice, and humour me!

return to the small triangular state

September 2nd 2008 13:42
*yawn*

*stretch*

after six weeks of mooching around the mainland i have returned to the apple isle (or is it emerald? no i think its apple) where the weather is always frosty and my cat is always purring . . .

i had some good ideas for some blogs and stories and articles . . . lets hope i write them down before they fly out of my brain like winged monkeys!

i saw many an old and treasured friend, and met some beautiful new people, and enjoyed all the human contact and relished the face-to-face conversations!

i got stood up, fobbed people off, ran late, wasted money, ate really good and really bad food . . . i spent a whole afternoon trying to mind a powerpoint to charge my phone . . . i saw theatre and cinema galore . . . it was great to be back . . .

i wish i could make it permanent . . .

*sigh*

yeah im working on it . . .

Six weeks! Where did you go besides Sydney and Melbourne?

Hey I love that google ad in the top right hand corner. "Are you tired of thin eyebrows"?

Is it aimed at you or Michelle Obama?

Apples and emeralds, well they are both pretty green.

But did you have fun and run amok? because unless the answer is yes you're not doing something right!

I loved finally get to meet my doppleganger. We looked so much alike people were staring thinking we were identical twins.

Winged monkeys, my pretty.

I picked up a 45kg woman once.
She was sitting on my pastie.
Turns out it was hers all along.
I'd already half-eaten mine.

Hey

If you were in Sydney - why didn't you call . . .

Good food . . . bad food - it's all the same if the company's a class act - and I believe it would have been.

Hey Morgan,

I was thinking about whinging that you didn't tell me you were in Syd, but it's already been done, lol. We look forward to getting you back for keeps!

What was the best thing about your trip?

I've never been to Tazzie... I have to admit it's not high on my 'must travel to' list... I was thinking of applying for an editing position (which I probably wouldn't get) in Auckland, but decided it was too cold for me. Brrr!

Hey Ruby,

No fair - you got the ambiguity of the thin eyebrows ad... all I'm getting is 'Australia Tax Return'... (Shouldn't it be 'Australia Taz return'?)

hmmmm the best thing about my trip . . . the laughs, i love laughing with my old friends about stupid people we used to know or ridiculous private jokes or just spur of the moment absurd happenings . . . oh and walking down oxford st in the rain at 4am to get pizza from Yeeros
