Three days in and 2010 is already shaping up to being an awesome year . . .
Soundgarden are reforming!
The reunion has officially been announced, the band will be reunited in 2010.
I'm chuffed . . . no, I am beyond chuffed, I'm barely able to contain myself . . . I am a HUGE Soundgarden fan . . . I feel like I should call someone, someone important, maybe Barack Obama, or Jon Stewart, and just let them know: the boys are back!

Chris Cornell announced on his Twitter on the 1st Jan that Soundgarden will be reforming in 2010:
The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again! www.soundgardenworld.com
Chris posted the same announcement on his website ChrisCornell.com on new years eve.

they were a late 80s/early 90s Seattle grunge band, the first one to get signed out of the whole scene/movement, and one of the few that survived the heroin epidemic
Cornell has been successful on his own since they broke up, and he also fronted Audioslave in the 00s
their most famous song is probably Black Hole Sun

yep Temple of the Dog was another Cornell project, a tribute to his room-mate who died of a heroin overdose, the lineup contained quite a few Pearl Jam members too
