Stoner barters weed for Happy Meal
October 17th 2008 16:47
A sign of the times . . .
Now we know the econimic crisis is getting tough if drug dealers have become cash poor!
This week a Florida man was busted for trying to exchange weed for a feed at McDonalds.
Shawn Pannullo, 27, went through the drive-through window of a Vero Beach McDonald's just after midnight and offered cashier to trade marijuana for fast-food.
The McDonald's employee declined the pot deal and called the police.
Apparently the cops werent impressed. Pannullo was charged with possession of cannabis and posted $500 bail.
It is not known exactly what Mr Pannullo attempted to order of the McDonalds menu or if he was able to consume the meal he was craving before his arrest.
Talk about letting drugs fry your brain!
Dont let the munchies impair your judgement!

Bartering for pot/with pot is pretty common, although usually not with food.

My enquiry is for Orble writers. I would like to get your opinions and experiences of using this site. I am very curious.
I got onto it in response to an ad for Writers -on Seek, I think- and mainly as a means of writing discipline. Setting up the blog was a bit of an ordeal. I wasn’t aware until after I had set up that I needed to also sign up with Adsense to actually get any payment. That was another ordeal but Orble helped by answering my questions/giving advice. Since the blog has been up and running they have ignored my messages.
I did some posts then began to wonder if it was all a bit of a scam. I cleared off my posts on Filmenator because I didn’t want someone else to be offered my blog if I left it unattended- just as I had been offered another person’s film blog, including their writing. As a means of research(I was still curious) I then started a new blog – Celebrity Gossip and posted some rubbish with titles that I thought might attract traffic
It seems that there is only a handful of members who regular post and seem to be in contact with each other and I know that some of them are Orble employees. This thing has pricked my naturally cynical nature. I would love to find out what others have experienced.
HOW did you find out about Orble?
WHAT is your experience using it?
IS IT what you expected?
IS IT good for expression/communication/
support/opinions/ideas/whatev er?
DO you get valuable feedback?
DO YOU have any desire for contact beyond online?
HAVE YOU made any income from it?
Does ANYONE know exactly how the income is generated?
ARE THERE bloggers employed by Orble – or On Topic Media?
Thanks ahead for your reply.

it was quite random how easily i found a pic to match this story! haha
it would be an interesting social experiment for a candid camera type show!
thanks for the comment!
hi Norm,
do you think maybe he traded some pot for bail? haha
well cops would be more likely to participate in corruption than maccas employees!
hi Dianna,
maybe the dude should have traded with someone he knew for cash and then taken the cash to the maccas window?
i dont think i would have dobbed him in if i was the employee, not unless he was being a nuisance!
thanks for the comments everyone!

as a basic rule of thumb noone makes any money from Orble, the people that like it and continue to contribute to it use it as more of a social networking site where you can exchange ideas and get feedback from other writers
personally (and ive said it before) i think it is really dishonest of Orble to advertise on Seek claiming to pay writers a weekly wage
if you have made $50 from adsense in the first 6 months then you are doing well - and lets face it adsense wont pay you until your account gets over $100 - so you might as well think of it as unpaid
as far as i know there is only one paid blogger/moderator and that is Cibbuano
the rest of us are just volenteering and we do it to practise writing regularly and to keep up to date with news, events, and opinions etc

My take on this is that were the cashier more inclined he would have accepted the marijuana, happy to dock it from his pay. Then the poor stoned perpetrator would have been absolved, and the world would be a peaceful place (I do not in any way advocate drugs).

Perhaps it would have been wise. But who thinks clearly stoned out of their mind?
(Answer: Bob Marley. Or, at least, clear enough to write well...)

never EVER?
haha idiots!
i like reading all the blogs, even the silly and offensive ones, i like to keep my finger on the pulse of the Orble madness!
however yours is one of the few that i subscribe to, and thats because i enjoy it!
if this site was a bit less insane im sure we would have some interesting discussions on the finer points of Aussie politics, but it seems so many people on here dont even have the basics down about racism and womens rights etc, it never blooms into anything interesting or new . . . shame really!
keep up the good work!

Because they were on the sativas and hazes, that's why!
As I said in another post, peeps are always equating cannabis with the Indica varieties - STONED; can't walk - can't talk etc (dominated by the CBA's, CBD's and CBN's etc which feels heavy and stoney - and which I hate...)
But they never talk about the Sativas - HIGH - which most serious pot connoisseurs use. (Or sativa dominated hybrids)
The chemicals in these are primarily THC5 and 9, which are completely different to the heavy stoneness of the indicas.
Sativa (especially the landraces) and the hazes are cerebral, spiritual, energetic, HIGH - great for sex (and erections - the older folks wouldn't need Viagra if they tried it!!) - it opens up the mind and soul, is great for your health if you vapourize or eat it (as ANY smoke is damaging)
The herb contains a lot of complex chemistry and the variables are huge. If it's in-bred (badly) or has poor or weakened genetics, it can be loopy and dangerous.
But well-bred sativa and hazes (and especially the pure landraces) have little or no negative side-effects and the positives are many and HUGE. For people who think it clogs and kills the brain etc and is only for losers, I've done a high-end degree while on it and haven't looked back. In fact, I'm high now - anyone want a intellectual, logical and clear discussion?
Anyway, time to go and fire-up my light-globe.
PS - the CBA's etc are much heavier than the THC5s and 9s, so therefore most commercial weed is indica-dominated and allowed to age, so the remaining THC converts to the CBN's etc and gets heavier - and the scum dealers can make more $$$.
The pure sativas have very little yield and take twice the time to flower and mature, so unless the dealers can get $1000 an ounce for it (which most can't) then it's not profitable for them to grow it.
That's why you only really hear about the crap stuff that the dealers or the ignorant grow.
