Deep Pencil - the musings of Morgan Bell

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it did it really make a sound? If i post a blog and nobody reads it was there really any point? You have entered the random thinking space of Morgan Bell . . . These are my musings . . . things about my life written off the top of my head . . . written in an informal disjointed style almost completely devoid of punctuation, this is where i flesh out writing ideas, discuss my life, and generally be self indulgent . . . it is also the bargain bin for articles which do not fit in with the film or arts themes of my other blogs . . . so have a wander around my mind, have a laugh, have a think, be nice, and humour me!

Morgan, I'm glad that you loved Lillie's novels and she is tremendously a natural born writer indeed!

By the way, Jeanne has asked Lillie some very tough questions in the interview, and I think we all should drop Jeanne's blog a visit...

Note: By the way, for those of you that already purchased Lillie's Dream or Destiny, you should also hang out at Lillie's blog as well, who know she might give you a bookmark for it lol

hi TWNML,
oh well ive guarenteed it now! haha
as a friend of mine once said "there is no certainty", but i think it is highly probable you could pick up some good tips!

hi Wilson,
always good to hear from a fan of Lillie's work!
i was not aware of her writing before i stopped by Jeanne's blog, but i think she is very personable and approachable and has a wealth of experience under her belt!
im glad you enjoyed the interview as much as i did!

hi Lilla,
hey the themes of dreams and psychic abilities would be right up your alley!
her latest book sounds a bit like the American drama Medium or the Aussie reality show Sensing Murder . . . it could be a really interesting read!
she seems like a really lovely lady, and is giving quite comprehensive responses to writer's questions!

thanks for the comments everyone!

hi Janet,
Jeanne's blog is a really good example of what makes Orble great . . . writers networking with each other and pooling their knowledge, the more experienced acting as mentors for the newbies . . . theres a few excellent writing blogs kicking around here that have tips that can benefit everyone!

Morgan,

Just noticed this post for the first time! My apologies for not spotting it sooner! Lillie's two blog book tour stops at Writer's Notes certainly kept me busy, as have a few new (ongoing) freelance writing and editing gigs I've just taken on (no time to go blog hopping--or do much of anything else, either).

Lillie was definitely a fantastic visiting author, and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly, as I know my readers also did. Thanks so much for publicizing my post and letting your readers know about Lillie's books and her considerable wisdom in the writing and publishing fields. I'm sure she would appreciate your passing the word along every bit as much as I do.

Many thanks!
Jeanne

Morgan,

Jeanne just alerted me to this post, and I am thrilled to see it.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for promoting my books and blog.

I was so busy answering questions on Jeanne's blog that I didn't click through to check out commenters' blogs, but now that I have discovered yours, I'm going to subscribe.

Thanks again!

hi Jeanne,
oh i should have sent you a link, i completely forgot!
i know there are quite a few unpublished writers on Orble who could find the advice very useful!

hi Lillie,
i thought it would be nice to return the favour!
my blog probably attracts a different demographic of reader than Jeanne, and im all for cross-promotion!
i hope my readers will learn something new from your interview and website - i sure did!

No worries, Morgan! You did the important thing: You published the post! Helping unpublished writers is one of my main goals at Writer's Notes! And it isn't every day that aspiring writers have the opportunity to get their publishing questions answered by a real, honest-to-goodness published author. Thanks again for spreading the word!
